Crop Walk

Crop Walk raises funds to support local and international hunger-fighting agencies.

Durham's 2003 Crop Walk was held March 28th.  The 5-mile route started at Duke's Chapel, crossed under the freeway to the Duke east campus, looped over to Asbury UMC, and back to the chapel.

Bethany and her Crop Walkers raised over $800 for the cause.  Along the way, we participated in some interactive displays relating to life in the Developing Nations.  We got to try carrying water in shoulder buckets.  We learned about the hazards of land mines.  And we got to eat some bread baked on an open charcoal grill.
